11kg Garoupa at Pantai Puteri, Melaka

Witnessed the hooked up of 11kg Garoupa on 20th Dec 2007 about 15.00pm. The local informed us, they never got this size so near to shore.

I tried to attach the photos, can someone out there help me please??

I witnessed a 12kg garoupa landed from Lukut jetty. The mahmood kelong operator told us it never occured before so closed to shore. Maybe its a sign?[:0]

On that night itself, another Kerapu at 8.3kg landed. Time unknown but the lucky guy this time is a Malay Anglers. I will find out more info.

We also notice hooked up of Starfish and some of the photos I already sent to Mr. Ariffin Jamil.

Hahahaha bro Apek Cina, me also there with our MFN member Binjai. Nelayan at Pantai Putri confirmed the weight of the grouper, 11Kg. I also took the picture with the fish owner, but not the owner who landed the fish, one malay guys coincidently past by the jeti manage to landed the fish.

We surfcast until 8.30 pm, but only sesirat we manage to land. Hehehehe…

I think the Garoupa lost in transition. Maybe it escaped from the farm in Penang… Maybe is it too old to fend off others predators…

Been faithfully to the same spot for fishing before and after the unexpected discovery. But the result remain the same… Belukang, Semilang, Gelama, Duri. However my Registered Phase / Script is “ENJOY THE FISHING PROCESS”…
