What can I say !!! I did it again !!! [:p]
This is the very first BSR trip for our friend Tze and his wife Nina and I managed to help them to landed their dream fish, a 75KG mekong catfish + another bonus 40KG mekong catfish at the end of the fishing session. All about fishing tactic and my home made recipe.[:D]
Double happiness for them and a memorable one for a long time to come. I’m sure they’ll be back for more mekong fishing with me in the future trip to bkk.

it almost exticted and humans help to re-populate it and now there are alot so they release it into monster it ake right ?
and i heard pla buk is a god or something to thai people

Mekong catfish or pla buk is a protected species.
No wild fishing is permitted in the mekong river without authority.
What we have here are those farm breed pla buk fishes.
Over at BSR, there a few biggies which are over 100kg mark but nothing compare to the wild pla buk which can grow up to 200-300kg big.
Pla buk is sometime compare to underwtaer steamtrain by foreign anglers.The strenght is comparable to a tuna fish.
You must try it to really experience the power of this wonder fish.
