8.62KG Toman Landed Wild Fishing Thailand - BKKGUY

Looking at my tight fishing schedule , I’ve 2 DAYS off from my upcoming fishing trips in Dec. I need a nice break away for myself.

What is the best way to relax than to go fishing myself. My wife said I’m crazy. To me fishing is a form of relaxion & exercise. I may have to wakup as early as 1.00am just to travel that 450Km to fish that snakehead in the wild, that my enjoyments and joys !!! Hard to put it down in words…

Today I’ll not be going up to the said monster toman spoy alone. I’ve a thai fishing kaki to tag alone with me. He also a savvy toman lover. Anglers of toman lovers & same wave lenght speak the same language. haha !!!

This trip, the lucky lady shine on my thai kaki, he landed whoppy 8.62KG fat toman weighted on my digital scale & body lenght measured 93cm long. Although the USA boga grip read 21 Ibs (9.5KG ) on its scale. We choose the latter reading with a lower weight for more accurate reading instead.

As for msyelf, I’m already happy to have a day fishing in the wild.
Firstly is to test out my new lure and secondly is do more precise casting practising.

Fishing in the wild for toman, you need constant upgrading and improving in your luring skills. Unlike pond toman where everyone know it already stockup with fishes, you won’t get any real satisfaction out of it.

Nothing best the excitment and thrills of fishing in the wild.

Yesterday, I didn’t manage to land anything big enough for record purpose, only a 2.4KG toman on my rapala deep diver lure.

That wild fishing guys!!!

You don’t expect big fishes every time you go out fishing in the wild.

Enjoys & view the exciting vid clip first and the CR will followup later. Thks !!!

We set off the journey at 1.00am. The said fishing spot is 450Km from bkk city and long way drive. Along the way there, we may grab some early breakfast and drinks.

Morining breakfast at 7 eleven store. haha !!!

My thai kaki tackle box…

Unlike your usual kind of surface frog lures or topwater luring.
This kind of toman fishing- We call it spot fishing, just like hunting. We are constantly lookout for the toman coming up to the water surface to breath then we cast out…

You can easily cast out 500-800 castings in a single day non stop. This type of fishing is not suitable for everyone. The end results you get will be those monster toman which live deep in the center of the dams/ resrviors.

Like many always say: No pains no gains..

Beside having a good choice of lure, you need a good tackle to do the job. Daiwa Ryoga 1016H is my choice.

A whoppy fat 8.62KG Toman landed by Film.
Good job !!!

My newly bought 30Ibs boga grip from 7 Sea shop weight in- 21 Ibs (9.5KG base on 2.2 coversion)

To my understanding, original bogo grip can only give you a rough estimation of the fish weight in Ibs . It cannot give you the actual weight of the fish like in any digital weighting scale.

Digital weight in WITH BOGA together- Recorded 9.10 KG

The actual weight after deducting the boga grip- 8.62KG.</font id=“blue”>

Measure with tape- recorded 93cm in full length.
