Abu c5 5600

Hello every1, i hv this c5 5600 mag x, the green 1, which i usually used to ‘seven eyes’ for baitfish, bottom and casting for haruan. Thinking of using it for surfcasting with 10 - 12’ rod. Any advice or any1 hv experience with this reel?

Boat fees expensive, that expensive, this expensive, typhoon also dont want to go far2 away so thinking of getting into surf fishing.

C5 5600 MAG X…its a reel right!!!same with MAG ELITE,used sliding magnetic braking system…the diffrent is, your got levelwind gearing with it…so,nothing wrong with your, coz seem it still able to cast,still got enough space for line capacity…

then i advise you not to spend anymore, just go getting into surf fishing…

Hi Miawx,

I normally use the 5000 size reels for my light tackle surf fishing and especially when I need to cast further than normal.

The line I use is 0.3mm mono and my reels are actually the Abu 5500 mag elites with open cage (without levelwind)

Like leadhunter said, I also use the levelwind type when fishing at night coz it’s easier to manage the reel in the dark.

Thanks aznaff hamazah,

Filled the reel with some braid and mono top shot, will see how far i can cast and how far i can go into this surf fishing things. Perhaps one day i can think of having a mag elite like yours.
