Last time we were there there were many spearfishermen there spearing fishes…and nets. You can still get them but you will need to have a boat/watercraft otherwise quite difficult bro.

hai..i live in ipoh..so,i quite frequently go there to cast 4 PB..however the PB are quite educated…hehehe…it’s quite hard to cast them using lure…and furthermore,now it’s drought season and the water level are very low.so,the big one stay at the middle of the pond…as alternative i cast PB around malim nawar,batu gajah,ipoh and tronoh…
it give me better result…

460gram specimen caught at malim nawar…
690 gram specimen also at malim nawar…
720 gram caught at tasik raban,lenggong…
Caught around ipoh area…
35 cm specimen caught at tronoh pnd…

Batu Gajah still accessible? The last time i went, some developer has put up barb fence around the lake.

ohhh…bcoz in pengkalan also got lombong which has PBs of those color…dark and greenish…wonder why…
i prefer the yellowish one, heheh
PB are one of the species that changes colour due to it’s environment..the darker the water means that the PB willl be dark and greenish..as u can see..one of my beautiful PB was caught at tasik raban,lenggong…here the water are very clean n clear..

jackpot : last saturday just caught myself a 45cm specimen..caught using daiwa BH pencil-R..but i can’t upload it now coz my friend are doing an article to sent to pancing magazine..
