Anyone use or have any information on this reel? From the website it seems to have good specs, however am looking for real world information from anglers who have used or tried using this reel. Or should I better consider the more popular reel brands?

i am a student and a beginner in ff and currently using tomman reel selling cheap during a sale…[:D]
if u r not in the same shoes as me n money is not ur main concern,why not go for popular models??

Hi Sitchin! I could afford the more popular makes and models, but am trying to make the smart purchase. This reel has 3 bearings and is machined from t6061 aluminum, just like the fancier brands, but at a fraction of the cost. Thus, I was wondering if there was someone who has actually used this reel to say if its good or bad to help me make my decision.
Hi there! My understanding is that reels from established fly fishing equip manufacturers come with at least some form of warranty on them. If the difference is not staggering, i would rather choose a cheaper established brand instead of upgrading later on. you could probably sell it off more easily if you decide not to pursue fly fishing later on.
