Anybody heard of this brand? Asuka?
I saw a spinning rod in a local tackle shop. The rod feels good. Price around RM100+ for a 6.5ft. Very nice finish, the look is really good.
Dunno if any of u heard of it or use before, but i can’t find any info on this brand at all, even through google.
FYI, the one i’m looking at is called Asuka Sidestroke. As i said, looks good… except for the fact that their tag line is “FISHING LIKE APRO” (no typo there… they actually printed it “APRO”).

looks like the asuka brand that i saw. but those rods(those in the links u gave) are different models, probably newer ones.
they look nice too.
i’m still thinking of getting the asuka sidestroke 6.5ft, i think 10-20lb test (if i remember correctly), n 12-40g lure wt.
there’s another one that’s similar, just different color. it’s called red vision. roughly same specs but 6ft long. a few months back, saw one of these at kurauking’s shop too.
anybody seen these rods before? anybody used or can comment on these two rods? again, they’re called Asuka Sidestroke and Asuka RedVision.

about the custom rod… i already sort of kena poisoned the day i met u all, when wkl demonstrated what those custom rods could do.

there are many more out there we ain’t seen … much less heard of.
eg JDM exotic UL range, one of myriad market segments (and leagues).
zenith akatsuki, nories, olympic, golden mean, ivyline, many more.
i wonder whether some of these are brand names or model names [:D]
