Hi Bro Thomas, the show was over 4 days, thursday to sunday 18th. Got back home on Friday so managed to catch it otherwise would have missed it. It took us 5 hours to go through one round. You will notice that in one of the photos Liza was having a rest!!

Now that you mentioned, thought that she was one of the YAMAHA & QUINTREX
Representatives. Heheh, she must have felt good putting her butt on the SURTEES.

Bluenose,

Carry a rod and speak softly.

Did you get one?

Ben,

how was your stay in KL ?? Satisfied with the short trip tow foo ?? Nvm, there is always next time..ehehe..so arent you gonna get a small tinnies??hehe

once an angler, always an angler

Ming,
Every fishing trip is a good trip. Thank to everyone for trying to help me catch a Pacu. I am still laughing over the fact that the big fat tilapia didn’t even feel like a fish was on. Felt more like a soon hock. hehe.
No tinnies for me mate. No keen on the nitro Vapor bream rod.

Yes I am still alive and kicking. Was in Tokyo for 3 weeks and got back Friday 16th just in time to catch the tail end of the boat show. Saturday went out fishing with the family and did very well on bait (pilchards) but nothing on SP, only a couple of nibbles. Sunday to boat show and Monday back at work. No rest for the wicked!!

bluenose,

Welcome back! Great to see that the Boat Show is still so vibrant. I did not go, too much temptation there lar[:I]. Did you manage to visit the tackle shops in Japan??

I went out fishing on Saturday, did not manage to catch any snapper but there were plenty of kahawai.. we manage to catch a couple of throw back snapper but none were keepers, I wonder if its because fewer snapper around or they are less active in chasing after SP. While we were chasing the kahawai, the sounder showed alot of bottom signs, but no snapper were caught.
The snapper you caught were they good size?

[:)]

Flicker,

Welcome back too! Looks like you must have had a good trip. Look forward to you Catch report.

Brian and Bluenose,
I only caught one tilapia - didn’t even take a photo. Got food poisoning on the last day (started gettting stomach cramps on the plane.
This trip knocked me out as I was sleeping about 4 hours per day.
So no fishing report.
Hope to see some fishing photos from bluenose.

Flicker,
At least you did’t end up feeding the mosquito at the pond! or did youi??

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>Briank, No didn’t have a chance to visit tackle shops at all as I was involved with some development work and patents. All work and no play I am afraid.

The snappers we caught were mostly 2-3 kg and relased more than 20 under 30cm (self imposed minimum length, 3cm longer than that required by regulations). Bite time was about 30 minutes, started an hour after incoming tide. After that we caught kahawais, trev and John Dory in the burley trail.

Flicker, Hope you're fighting fit now and getting ready for Auckland trip in July? As I said to briank that I will be quite free that month although skiing would be on the menu but nothing fixed and can be postponed to next year. So let us know when as soon as possible. June is the middle of winter and most fish aren't that interested to eat. Jigging for kingfish around deep water pins are best.

Bluenose,
nice to hear that you are back fishing again. I am currently juggling Malaysia, NZ and China for July. Jigging for Kingfish is music to my ears. Bought some deadly octopus jig from Kl and can’t wait to try them out. Will confirm date asap

Brian,
no mosquitos at Tow Foo.
