Wow!! out of such a long list of good offer, I only favor the list of food. Ya, before fishing try some steak or lamb chop, after fishing try some abalone, btw how is the abalone cooked[?][?]

In Chinese restaurants, the live abalones (more than a kg each) is sliced thinly, dipped in hot soup and eaten. (like steamboat).

UT, we both fly from Changi on SQ under their… “2 to go, and 2 to cum back” package, then it will be cheaper. Will check the cost, flight details and let you know soon…

Ben, your description of the possible itinerary will take us quite a lot of time to cover everything… or we got to go back again and again… ![]()
I’ve done most of what you mentioned, so if the guys are keen, then they’ve got to plan to stay a bit longer…
BTW, will keep you guys posted and updated on the list as soon as possible.
Cheers!

I understand that from Freemantle to the SAMSON fishing ground could be rough, does
SALTWATER CHARTERS have to pick a suitable window to go out? We would need extra days for stand by in case the sea condition is not conducive. I am planning to have only five days overall inclusive of traveling, is five days enough Ben[?]

UT, Saltwater Charters leaves from Hillary’s, and it’s about 45mins or so to the 40m mark and if they’re biting, then we’ll be having a field day… if not, then we’ll probably be going further out…

Information gathered is that the dept for the samson fishing ground is between 100 to 130m which is about 20 nautical miles [or more] from the port. Feeding dept is between 80-90m [strike zone]. But whatever it is, do not let the captain take us for a ride. If you were fishing at 40m mark the last time, that could not be the right place for the samson. Big samson prefer deeper water with rocky bottom. The last trip TEAM XZOGA left from Freemantle.

I wouldn’t say that the captain took us for a ride, but we happen to pass by the 40m mark and tried… we did in fact go out to the 100m mark as well and SC does leave from Freemantle as well as Hillary’s… anyway, as long as we get the Samsons, then it’s fine…

F2R2,
I have listed possible things to do for poisoning purposes. Won’t be able to fit everything in for i trip. Let’s decide what to do after the fishing - most likely end up eat and drink.
Charter boats leave port according to destination or customer preference. Fremantle and Hillary’s is like Pekan and Merchung.
Samsons are found in both shallow and deep water. Less strenous to jig in shallow water. The charters work very hard to get customers good hookups otherwise they will be out of business. They will move from spot to spot till they find fish.I guess somedays there just aren’t any fish!
Eg. took me 3 trips to east coast to get my first sail!
Also the time of the year is important. We will be out in the peak season so the odds are better. John was out at the tail end of the season.Just like the last rompin trip, one boat caught nothing but I am sure the skipper tried his best and was not taking the group for a ride.
Five days should be enough. Two days travelling and 3 days for good weather. The sun normally shines in summer, lets just hope the wind is not too strong. Being the seasick king, I am more worried that anyone else. hehehe

hmmmmm…very tectical and tecnical discussion …guessed better let all you big guys to decide…fish…beer…food..fish..fish…beer…beer…fish.[B)][:0]
ok guys, have good faith on the SC Captain, with me around, I will be watching him like a hawk, his chart plotter, way points and fish finder,
to ensure he does a genuine good job.
Ben, for your seasickness, I think is psychological, discard the fear and thought and do your fishing. I observed you did well during the last few trips you had with me, there was no sign of you having seasick.
Before the trip make sure you have enough sleep, get Sofia to blend some pure ginger juice with honey, take a few sip every now and then during the trip, it will help suppress any nausea feeling.

Thomas,
I was sick once in Merchung and once in Pekan. so on our last trip I took Travelcalm before going out.
On the last trip to Portland (for the SBT),
I took one the night before and one in the morning as we were going out 45 miles and australian seas can get rough!
For this samson trip I will probably take more! I think travelcalm should feature me as their ambassador or endorser! hehehe
It is not psychological - sensitive middle ear. Also happens when a plane takes off and lands. If I read during take off and landing I will be sick as a dog.
So can’t be pilot, air steward or boat captain. Also reason why I don’t own a boat!
I will be happy if I land one samson before getting sick.

Ok, if you are taking the Tarvelcalm, you did right, one before you go to sleep and one before breakfast, do not take more than two, because you it will act as a sedative and you will feel drowsy. I know what I will do for you, have the hook up and you fight the fish for me and I take pictures and video for you, deal[?][?][?]
