One fine Saturday, yazet, zamwahoo and I went out for a casting trip.
A trip without specific target and without much expectation as we just
wanted to have fun..casting, casting and casting…nothing else.
Going back empty handed is a norm.
We arrived at the location at 11am.
The place already full with anglers but somehow we managed to get one good spot.
People said nobody casting here but no harm to give it a try.
Cast la apa tunggu lagi..there you go, our lures happily swimming around
Few minutes of casting, the first barracuda attacked and it was
safely landed, zam said this is kacangkuda not barracuda.
Me with my first catch..
Yazet on rescue mission…Tail dancer la..mahal oo
must go and get it back.
Here comes the second kacang kuda..
The 3rd peanut by yazet..
and me with the last peanut..
It was unfortunate for zamwahoo, no peanut for him..
but no worry, we used to kumpau and there will be always
another casting trip..
zamwahoo seen here with our first peanut..
315pm we decided to call it for a day and yeah, this trip
was a memorable one…[:)]
The kacangkuda sudah masak gulai ka? [:p]
Btw,Y dun U guys get a small sized tackleback which can be used from shore/rocks.Just slide it down to retrieve your lures i/o having to get into the water? Less hassle dat way [:)]
When the last Tree is cut, the last River poisoned, and the last Fish dead, we will discover that we can’t eat Money…</font id=“size1”></font id=“green”>

Yazir,it was a Duel modified with some bulu bulu attached to the back treble but trebles were not very effective in hooking up with top water so I switched to singles and got better hook ups later.
I think top water may work better for cudas in calm conditions.Try it if you guys go to Terong or any other estuary

Difficult to get cheap and good snaps nowadays. The good ones are rather pricy but the Shirokawa brand is very strong and cheap…if you know where to get it. I use them a lot
