Memandangkan ramai berminat dalam bina bot sendiri ni..dan adalah susah bagi saya untuk menerangkan dalam forum, saya cadang nk organize workshop on boatbuilding DIY. Sekarang ni saya nk tgk respon dulu..
kita start dengan “Weekend Boatbuilding”. Dalam ni saya cadang kita buat hand-on wshop, by 2nd day, boat dah hampir siap n peserta boleh bawak balik bot tu. Design bot mungkin kita go on ‘stitch n glue’ approach, so, boleh blaja teknik fiberglass skali.
kalau ramai berminat, i’ll proceed dengan paperwork. Kena dapat approval boss gak, kena kira costing..(sebab nk charge material boat tu; yela dah bwk balik xkan free..hehe)..etc2
bro cempiang,pasal cost materialtu,rasanya kalau setuju kita ramai2 bole kongsi2,saya tak kisah sapa nak amik bot tu saya cuma nak belajar camna nak buat bot je.

among the proposal;
DIY boatbuilding
Synopsis: participant will be taught on the skill and technique
required to built small boat using stitch and glue
technique. the type of boat will be decided from
skiff, canoe, punt etc.
Conduct : Hands-on and some informative talk.
Duration: Weekend class.
Fee : tbc
Basic fiberglass boatbuilding
Synopsis: Participant will be taught the skill and technique in
basic hand laminating fiberglass technique.
Participant will also be experienced on real fiberglass
boatbuilding from existing mould.
Duration 2-4 days (tbc)
Conduct : Hands-on and some informative talk.
Fee : tbc

Cempiang ada tak design bot stich n glue lebar 4’ panjang 16-14’. baru ni ada buat program kemasyarakatan di kampung changkat du, sauk, perak, dekat dengan tasik raban. kursus membuat bot. free untuk penduduk kg. tapi yang datang cuma tukang rumah, kontraktor kelas F… yang muda tak datang pun. siap bot build on plywood 3 hari siap sampai fibreglass. kali ni nak cuba stich n glue pulak. kot boleh siap 2 hari je. kalau ada design boleh e-mail tak?

alhamdulillah, 1st run of DIY boatbuilding workshop ini berjaya dilaksanakan walaupon dengan penyertaan 4 grup sahaja. Semua peserta menunjukkan minat dan komitment yang mendalam..walaupon masa tidak mengizinkan untuk menyiapkan bot seperti yang dijangkakan..
