One thing that i don’t understand too is why the coating have to be hard? I am trying to experiment with Non-Epoxy base coating. Have yet to find a solution yet. Soon, I hope, heheheh.

try mixing less hardener with more resin… this mixture will take forever to be hardened [:p]
Because our fish here all have very sharp pointy teeth.
But seriosly the point of making a custom lure is to make one that is better than production lures, else with the variety available in the market there’s no point in making any as we can find lures that match our needs. So custom lure has to last longer, work better and who knows urs might be THE collectors item after u’re 6 feet underground LOL.
The other added satisfaction is u know u’ve done the best u can on ur lure.
There are better topcoats and epoxy which can simplify the working process, but the main obstacle is cost & most are industrial supply and/or processes which require major outlay or expensive curing equipment plus purchasing in 55 gallon drums.
Oh forgot to mention, when u catch ur 1st fish on ur own lure, u’ll be wanting to buy scroll saw, lathe machine, table saw etc etc… Ha ha ha.
oit lefty, carik ler kat mana2 kedai hardware area KL tu, brand devcon memang famous. dulu aku beli dekat sebuah kedai hardware dekat pandan jaya, dekat area 7-11 tuh.
Bukan, Devcon ni sebenarnya sejenis eposy glue je, tapi sesuai nak guna sebagai top-coat untuk gewang.
Tak boleh, tapi kalau celup thinner dia jadi lembut boleh di kopek.
