Brisbane prawns season

We are in the peak of prawning season, some of the prawns can be quite big. we use cast net for prawning, i am very surprise to see white man cast net, they can cast big net, 14 feet, weight 6kg.

We cast for prawns from boat, there were 40 boat out there. Many aussie ,Veitnam, but only one Malaysian.

Today’s catch. 4.5kg.

Dinner, Mee Udang. In Australia a good fisho must also know how to cook.

Pajeromako,
great catch. They are bloody big too!

Carry a rod and speak softly.

Pajeromako,
Your Mee Udang looks very delicious
with those fresh prawn, but I noticed that your prawn are not processed.
Here is a tip to process them:
Use a pair of sharp pointed scissors,
cut off the horn at the base and
continue to cut
from the base at the top of the head
along the back of the prawn till
you reach the tail.
You will notice the line of black
substance which contains dirt and sand, remove those black stuff,
the prawn will
be cleaner and nicer to eat.
Try it in your next cooking,
bet you will have no regret, cheers !!

i rather be fishing than working…ops.just dun’t let my boss know…******

Bro Pajeromako,
So many Aussies and Vietnamese and only one Malaysian… Yes! Cool! All it takes is one Malaysian to carry the flag cos we got substance…
I’m jealous with the amount of prawns you can get just by casting your net, and 8" at that!
you’re right being a good fisho must also know how to cook…
I will most likely be going to Brisbane sometime in September, can we meet up for a fishing session?
Flicker, what about you? Would you be there that time?
Cheers!

F2R2,
I am usually flexible. It depends on whether our host Pajeromako is available. Let me know a couple of weeks prior to your travel date.
