The forum seems to be getting very quiet nowadays lah.
Anyway, leadhunter, Bro Onn and I had a little discussion recently and we are planning to organise a “distance casting clinic” for those interested.
Objective
To get to know each other better and share our experiences.
Familiarising yourselves with the various casting styles and techniques.
Understanding the mechanics of the specialised rods and modified reels.
In search for potential talent.
To popularise the sport.
Details
-Venue: Bukit Mahkota
-Time: 8.00am to 10.30am
-Date: (to be determined later based on the response)
Distance casting is important both for surf fishing and obviously for sport casting and we have the current Malysia Open champion (leadhunter) and Malaysia No.2 (Bro Onn)to conduct the clinic.
To participate is just to be present with what ever tackles you are currently using, that would be good enough.
So…guys, if you all are keen, please response and we’ll arrange the rest!

Yes, we will be working with Oaakin on the proposal and he seems positive about it, have to thank him a lot about it. Would be next year but the date and month is still not certain yet.
If it’s on…make sure you come lah, many tourny you missed already lah???

my cast…still cannot maintaine the distance…still fine some tune to get better on my cast…not so much time…2 days ago i got senangin la en aznaff…2kg++ at tg harapan…but no camera to snap the photo..i feel so lucky on that day..haha..actually i thought some plastic beg got cought at my line…
hope we can go fishing together soon…

Tentatively we will schedule the casting clinic to be held on 30-12-2007, so that everyone can make the necessary arrangements to attend especially you and Bro Onn.
It will be a good refresher for me lah…anyone else interested, please let us know.

dont give up…if u try every week maybe your luck will coming soon…dont use to small hook if u dont want small gelama or maybe your hook can break when the big fish bite your hook…use a life bait..like prawn…is that right edi…u the one i saw always use the prawn(live bait)..haha…live prawn advantage is his in the eyes …to me its enuff to use the market prawn..low budget lah..hehe
