CASTING COMPETITION

Hi All,

This is my personal opinion.

I think there is too much concentration being given on casting competition in this forum. No doubt it is important to all concerned but to novice surfcaster like me, we need more information on latest trip, catch result (i miss those from Bro Rakesh , but now Bro Parjo is up and running), latest gear, etc.

regards

Hmmm…

you can catch but you can’t cast far…im can cast far and im also able to cacth…

so,which one do you hate.

i think - you hate " the sinker ".

so,use float…

BTW - some info for you about surfcasting reel.

Wait till I get there, I’ll put a few up! Just hope there’s some fish left to catch!!

I look at the Fishing Kaki Singapore forum most days too - lots there!!http://www.fishingkaki.com/forum/

As for the emphasis on distance casting, like Edi says, it comes from wanting to cover more distance while fishing and is now a sport in its own right - a very addictive one too!

The forum for Hong Kong is worse. When you look around HK, there are fisho’s everywhere, but no-one posts any reports!!

No lar Ian…

they dont realize that we love the sinkers so much…

so,how’re you @ Apa Khabar ???

Khabar baik, terima kasih banyak.

No casting since the last tourny though!! Off out on the boat to the South China Seas oil rigs again tonight. 8 hours sailing, 24 hours fishing - yaahoooo!!

Then we’ll see you on the East Coast tourny!! If I can get the hang of the Chris Macey conversions this time, I’ll join you at the 200m mark - HOPEFULLY!!![8D]

Ian

By the way…where was that yellow fin caught?

Amirul,

I belive that in surf fishing ability to cast in a right manner is fundamentally important. majority surf angler took this lightly and dry casting is the best venue to sraphen ur casting technique. once master you won’t hv problem to place ur bait and this help you alot during fishing. Distance casting tournament is just a compliment to the hobby.

cheers.[8D]

Placement of the bait - ie accuracy of the cast is a good point…I’ve seen Bro Onn hit a plastic bucket lid from 170m!! Superb accuracy!! [:D]

Hi Ian,

If not mistaken that plastic cap was in the 180m zone and it was pure luck to hit the bull eye. hehehe…

cheers.[8D]
