To all sifus out there, im about to buy one of these reel..please…i need advice which one is worth buying..
The conquest is very pretty and high quality, but i am worry about the erqonomic…the palming issue..was it comfortable enough? will my hand get tired quickly and get hurt?
for info, currently i already have curado 201e7 & scorpion xt…
wonder why we have so many reels and rods..
just buy and fish it..don’t like em’…sell..
others may like it if they review..
others may don’t..
you better pick one or two at once..
get used to them..
enjoyy…you may even see some reviews fail
(they want to sell things ..right)
every one reel has pro and cons…do own a few then only the best
that you are comfotable with stay…
the longer you fish..you’ll stick to a few set ups…

just my 2 cents…
so, in short, your advice is, just buy buy buy, if no like, then sell sell sell? LOL [:D][:D]

ask around..
your setup will come and go....
only then you stick with a few..
if you fish long enough..you’ll see this
i don’t recommend on buying and kept buying..
but pay for what you feel suits you..
or try someone’s setup first to
pick your liking..
only then you’ll know who’ll laugh…
again we will not win a war at all
but glory is given to selected few…
if you know what i mean…
wah, very deep, dunno what you are trying to drive at…my bad, didn’t expect to read such philosophical posting in an angling forum, forgot to adjust my mental thinking before opening your post [:D]
i like both the reel you’ve mentioned… however i only tried a conquest, 50 size only(boh lui mah!). SO i can’t help much
but i agree wat Hazadin bro said… it’s best to have a buddy who owns it and have a spin with it. If not the next best option is to buy and try one urself, not in tackle shop but out fishing, cos ultimately wat u need the reel for is to fish. Tat’s my personal view on the matter
cos like wat Hazadin said, wat others say might not be your cup of tea and vice versa. Best is to have a hands on experience. For me both reel ergonomics should be the best you could expect from any reels offered today. But some like round reel others hate it and vice versa so can’t comment on it. Personnally i prefer round reel and i like the feel of them, but if u look closely a Metanium is sculptered to sit quite high and narrow, which much like a round reel. How i know? Cos i am eyeing on a Chronarch(American counterpart of Metanium). So i really love both reel you mentioned.
And yea, i dunno which to get too, conquest 101 or Chronarch D5 for my mid to heavy reel lol
I only have 13 years of fishing experience, so must beri tunjuk ajar!

If you have 50 series, then go for 200 series. 50 and 100 has only slight difference. What you can do with 100 you can do with 50 and do it much better. If you fail to get the 101 now, See me later as I also have one to let go. Now I am mostly using 50 and 200.
Nice! Very good advice guys! I really appreciate it… :-)…by the way…ending up buying a cq 51 :-P…find it very ergonomic - easy palming, very light…damn beautiful…i hope i will not regret with my choice…
as i mentioned, i only regretted buying cq51 for one thing. I can’t seems to use anything else other than this reel, other than that i’m perfectly happy with it… Like a happily ever after kinda story you know
lastly, congratz on ur new found toy, no worry bout the regret part, no one will regret owning something so perfect. Good luck with it!

I suppose you have not used a Daiwa Millionair CVZ 103L! Wait till you lay your hand on one and your perception will totally change.[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

the 50'd fit my hands pefectly
weight-wise would be good, too
only lack is the line cap compared with the 100
seems the 100 is the go-to multipurpose reel …
Brother,
Say you cast about 150ft and you still have 50ft of line on your spool, which makes up to about 75 meters on your spool before your cast. How far do you expect your fish to run[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]
