i got a feeling the ultramag sx spool wont fit my sx mag… if really cannot fit, i m getting the ultra mag s2.. period! if the sport rims doesnt fit, sell the car! maybe mr.finesse can put it to good use. so he might wanna bring his forell along

bro, if the seller website said it can fit, mean it should fit. Otherwise send it back for an exchange, I am sure they will honour it judging from a bro’s experience here.

shootout- keep it simple
1)conquest 51s
-simpan di rumah, tested in kenyir,cast 3g easily, longer distance than avail spool >>> 9.5*
2)conquest 51+shimano ori shallow spool
-no komen, like tractor >>> -5*
but still cast well for 3gm
3) conquest 50+avail shallow
-superb, lighter inertia compared to 51s.likely due to weight. on 1 brake, its magic >>> 10* Winner!!!
4) PX 68 spr
-technical error wt spool, distance ok wt 3gm >>> 8.5*
5) Abu morrum SX MAG (ori spool)
-jaw drop. cast 3gm overrun with my first cast. this reel is mad! 5gm can go as far as u can cast. more for PB’s due to the profile n weight, if tune avail spool, lagi best >>> 9.5*
6) calcutta 50xt
so so lah, like standard conquest. avail spool coming!!!
7) T3
felt normal, average distance wit 6gm lure. have to try wt zillion, MGX and etc to compare.
so there u have it, this concludes that avail spool is fantastically engineered for finesse approach. btw no need skill also can cast the avail spool. very user friendly. bad side is the strength loses to 51s due to thin material. so dont lock your drags. too bad i sold my presso guys.
dont try below 2gm. not neccessary as sebaraus take lures around 3-5cm profile readily in streams. yes 100gm sebaraus too
total tally 4 sebarau =)

first, i have to say, that the testing was not properly conducted. we just tried each other’s stuff with different baits and rods and lines. so it’s not full proof. actually, it can be totally inaccurate. coz some were using braids that were 1/3 of the diameter of others, and some using mono that was equivalent to 15lb mono diameter.
also, rods were very different.
about the ‘tractor’ or ‘rattling’ reel… it was not in the same league since half of the reel’s parts needed to be replaced. seriously.
also, u have to cast spr when the bearings are not clogged, n brake pins are fixed… ask tjs n g, they felt it n know how it compares with 51S.
one thing that is quite true, is that avail shallow spool… is freakin’ awesome! i would rank it very close to properly functioning 51S and spr. but we didn’t have that to compare with on the day.
ultimately, after all the fooling around… i think spinning was the best. haha…
but i’m not going to convert again. not anytime soon… that’s for sure.
we have to re-shootout again when everyones equipment are ready. meanwhile please take the time to upgrade, rebuild, modify , retune and custom your perfect rods for part II.
take this as a learning curve as to gain more finesse knowledge. i enjoyed using the avail spool very much. but doesnt mean it might be your cup of tea, and the udang galah 2style is certainly the creme of the crop.

well for now i reserve knht reel to place at my place so i can compare them thoroughly… since i probably will not be able to get the authentic 51S, i will just test this 2 reel in minute details
just wait for green light from knht bro n the reel to arrive n will give them exact treatment n setup to compare, all result will be noted down. My exam finish already, i have plenty of time to inspect every aspect of their performance… as well as exchanging both spool to different reel to test
the above are the real reason i am not motivated to write down the review, i think it’s way too crude n overzealous to deduce a reel performance with such little idea or knowledge and even lesser time with it. But i will try it myself first before any real review are gonna come out of my mouth
