I never fish at Rompin before, CR from kaki, surprisingly, with the red snapper which is very scarce at Pekan, planning to go early July.

According to reliable sources, the red snappers have no chance to grow more than a kg, the countless fish traps sapu them all, 3-4 fingers size MAJORITY, get one 500gm like kena lottery[:D][:D][:D]
really ?? then my fren must be very lucky !! using live prawn.. so we plan to go early july just for the red snapper and sotong..
You go this month, may be you still can get some diamond trevally, tengiri, aruan tasik, parrot, grouper and sails, etc…July may be too late with the SOUTH WEST MONSOON.

Nice caught, i never been to rompin.. july will be my virgin trip..
.. some additional cr, to be exact frens went 3 day fishing (1-3 Apr) from Desaru->Pekan->Kuantan (i did posted the desaru, below another 2 days cr), next trip will be to Pekan on 3-4 May, one vacant still avail as yesterday, too bad i can’t make it, only can make it on 22-23 May, pekan too. Early July will be rompin..
Day 2 (2 Apr) – Pekan [Karang Luas]
Ebek – 2pc about 5kg (catch by boatman both thru jig)
Kerapu – 2pc about 1kg plus (1 by boatman & 1 thru jig)
Parrot – 7pc
Yellow travelly – 1pc about 3kg by boatman
Tenggiri – by Sg fren about 3kg plus
Day 3 (3 Apr) – Kuantan
Ebek – 3pcs about 4~5kg (jig only 1 by boatman, 2 prawn bottom)
Haruan tasek – 3pcs (1 jig 13kg)
Yellow travelly – 1pcs about 4kg (all jigging).
Jemuduk – 5pcs (1 thru jig)
Nice catch though. July only sails & plenty of todak, may be some tengiri if you are lucky.[:D][:D][:D]
