Arrh…just came back from the toman trip last week ,was pestered by my thai friend Film to go fishing again. He missed a few close encounters with the toman but failed to land any toman from our last toman trip outing.
This week, I received a phone call from my boatman source that a certain distant dam (300KM)having a toman frenzy party.
Without waiting time, called up Film to tag him along for this fishing adventure. It ‘REVENGE TIME’ for him this round. haha !!!

We left bkk city at 3.00AM in the wee morning.
All tackles & lures box packed and ready to go…
My wild fishing lure box.
Inside the box, I’ve all kind of fishing lures you ever needed when fishing in the wild with me.
I brought along 2 of my BEST setup tackles and so did Film.
It always standard for us to bring 2 setups of fishing tackes for toman fishing.
Just in case if there is any accident, there is always a backup fishing set ready to be use.
My Daiwa Zyoga 1016 pair with my 10-20Ibs Gloomis rod.
My Daiwa Zillion pair with my 8- 16Ibs Valley hills rod.
Both loaded with main line power pro braided PE 4.
On the road…
As the journey is long (300KM), I let Film took the wheel for the first half of the journey while I rest. And I’ll take the 2nd half of it later on. This way, both drivers have ample time to rest.
Stopover for a late night supper for a bowl of hot noodle meat balls..
Top up some refreshment drinks for the trip.

My source was right. Plenty of toman rises. Damn happening !!!
The toman were everywhere. Toman’s head popping up here & there.
Both of us were casting non stop… precious moment or should I say golden moment… haha !!!
Note: Although there are many toman rises around, those anglers wanted to fish here must still need a certain level of accurate & fast casting skills before you got a successful bite from the toman. Not an easy fishing ground for newbie & beginner anglers I should say.

The infamous Giant Snakehead of Thailand live up to its name of been a strong and aggressive freshwater fighter fish of all time.
Look at thr damage, these strong decoy hooks almost straighten by the toman.
