Got myself one of these recently.
The body is the same as the standard Aggrest, aluminium body plus graphite side plates.
2 more BB than the standard Aggrest, one each in the handle knobs. Retrieve is not as smooth as I’ve hoped for, can feel the gears grind a little. Also, the gear ratio is 6.4 : 1.
And the spool is rated at PE 1.5 150yd, a little shallower than the standard aggrest. The spool capacity specs are exactly the same as those on the Zillion PE Special.
The line guide worm is tuned for PE line, it moves left and right a bit faster. I think this won’t be good for mono lines as the lines tend to fly off right to left pretty quickly. But it sure works for PE / braid!
Also, the reel looses the Magforce V, replace with standard Magforce … according to the manual, its Magforce PE Tuned, but looks like standard magforce.
I’ve paired with with a customer 6-12# pound custom from EA, spooled with Toray Seabass PE 1.5.
Verdict, pretty good. I’ve tested it with cranks baits down to about 4gm, cast pretty good. Down to 3gm, maybe not cranks but probably spoons. Anything over 5gm goes pretty fast and far. So far, the magforce does a pretty good job. So far, the drag’s smooth, based on one single pacu i caugth over at Laguna over the last weekend.
Its about as good as RM600 gets. LOL … Overall, the build is quite percise, more than wat I can say for a recent Salty Stage VS-1 that I got.
Only thing is, what’s up with the pushed in star retainer?
I haven’t tried removing it yet, lucky the casting bearings are clean and free. No need to remove for cleaning yet.
Anyone has any idea how to remove that ‘star’ retainer? Can I just pull it out?
