Daiwa Freams J match wif Daiwa Opusbull Rod

Guys, need your comment here..I have purchase freams for quite sometime spooled wif 40lb power pro red braided..Haf not acquire a sea rod yet but was thinkin about daiwa new opus bull rod (pe 2-5)

Using it for bottom fishin n maybe some light jiggin..

good luck on the rod. before u buy, remember to mount the reel on it, and then drag test it 1st with the line at the intended drag settings. i broke one before it touched water [:D] maybe it was a bad copy/manufacturer defect [?] otherwise, the rod should be okay i think.

Bro, when u drag test it, did u use a weighin scale? Wat was broken? The gears? how do u drag test, did u let the rod to bent or the drag test is directly on the spool drag? Hope u understand my questions.

i was mentioning about the rod. [:D] tied the line to a full 2.4L water bottle. like i said, i think it was a manufacturer defect, as the rod broke exactly on the foot of the 5th ring. for me, the blank wall is a bit too thin for my liking.

do not take this as a general assumption of the rod. i have also heard ppl landing big quarries with it. just telling u to check properly before buying. mass-made items may sometimes miss the QC

Btw, did u check out the other version of opusbull(for multiplier reels) cause it definately feels lighter compared to the spinning ones.Wat yur comment on that?
