Swords enters the high risk world of New England’s long line fishermen who risk all to catch an elusive prey - swordfish - in some of the most dangerous waters on the planet. They are uniformly tough and resilient and they need to be as every day could be their last.
If it is news to you, sword fish steaks are priced at a premium in the US. However, fishing for swords are regulated. Infact the control on the fishing had increased the income of the fisherman with the limited supply increasing the price of their regulated catch. The same applies to the alaskan crab and boston lobster.
To me i think other country citizen are more mentality adapted than ours in terms of over killing fishes. As EKWONG describe, other country have rules and regulation and even those fisherman caught a undersize fish, they wont be able to sell it coz there’s no buyer’s.
Not like here, our fisherman sapu every size and we consumer eat every size of fish. It is something i think is imposibble for us to achive in short future.
