The arrival of fisheR’s blank within 24hrs, posman a bit hardworking this week [:D]
Heavily fortified PVC protection greeted me when I walked lazily into my home from a long day at the office.

Goodies inside, ready for a project 10 lbs casting/live bait set. Now all I need is a fresh supply of flexcoat. Rest of the stuff found in my store room should be able to be reuse.

Many thanks to fisheR for the blank. Now I need to rack my old coconut and see if I remember how to built this blank up.
Hi smallROD.. [:D] nice rod roller u have there!!!
I think you have invested quite abit on rod building equipment..
Thanks.. and haf FUN!!!
wait for your craft man ![]()

fisheR, I did not invest much, most of mine are DIY crap. The rollers I think by today’s standard could be outdated. Dug all these from my retired box stored for a decade at least
. My turning motor is still with a forumer here, later I will go collect it back. DIY the dryer motor, stolen/canabalised from the kitchen minister’s old oven that turns the chicken. Its a direct 230v motor with 7 rpm, perfect for this application. Yet to find my tensioner board for the thread work, again stolen from an old singer sewing machine. fisheR, this MHX blank have a very pronounced backbone, don’t even need my bearing backbone finder, just roll on the floor and got it. Must be new generation graphite.
I take it the urethane foam included is for the reel seat shimming? That is new to me, I used to do it up with masking tapes and micro glass beads. The extra burr cork are for? I am really outdated for sure hehehee

Rod roller are never out dated… if you have seen my rollers , you’ll laugh rolling on the floor!! Mine are DIY from timber planks and ball bearing rollers..
Yup, back bones are very pronounced in all graphite blanks now..especially those fast action blanks.
The lightweight polyurethane arbors is for the reel seat. Not cheap ..cost almost USD2 a pc. [:D]
The extra burr cork?? Hmmm… look at the bottom of the cork handle, I am sure you’ll find use for it… [:)][:)]
I think you have figure that out by now…
Ahh yes for the butt.Let’s see if my chevron weaving still works.
Cheers.
