what about the ever popular OFB’s queenfish?
howcome there’s none of them in the picture?

“Fish for food, not food for Fish”

We did not hunt for them on this trip, we concentrate more on bottom fishing and chasing trash floating on sea for Tripletails…[:D]

His boat is so far the fastest..

Chuanjiak,
that’s fresh abalone. You can catch them all over Australia if you are a good swimmer. You are right - beautiful if cooked right.

KK,
Coolest cap in town eh? I’ll see if I can find another. Have had it for a while. If I find one I will hold you to your abalone offer!!

Brian,
the difference with KK is that while I cover my face and eyes I can still “see” hehehe

Flicker and chuanjiek,

Down here in Klang, we have a very old restaurant with very experience chef, they can cook a superlicious pot of Fatt diu cheong but it doesn’t comes cheap, the last time i had it was around Rm2600.00 but it’s worth every penny of it i tell you…[:D]

KK,
done deal then. My cap for the Fatt tiu Cheong meal. I’ll be in KL around 3rd week of May 08.

Carry a rod and speak softly.

Thanks bro, what about booking the OFB ? The tekong will book for us or reach there then arrange accomodation ?

Fishchaser..

it’s not easy to book an accomodation in OFB.
Normally it is fully occupied unless if you’re among the first to reach there.. so always bring along a sleeping bag.

In fact, OFB is a government lighthouse with only a few rooms meant for staff. This means, the OFB Lighthouse is not meant for fisherman. but who cares.. The officers there are friendly people. They’ll allow u to step onto their platform.

Inside OFB is fully airconditioned.. complete with proper toilet & shower room. They also have a big kitchen. So, it’s quite comfortable there. I’m sure u will like the place.

KK.. Please attach some OFB pictures with your mama queenies.

wow…RM2600 sounds reasonable. I remember my dad’s friend paid RM3600 for just that dish. So, how many bowls did everyone get? The last time I remember we had 10 people, each had 2 small bowl of soup, and other stuff in the huge pot. The server will extract every ingredient in the pot one by one and serve the customers. It was heck of a experience. I have to wait the next time to try this delicious again fat tiu cheong… Feel hungry now…
