This is my first time to fish in Penang. The boatman i engaged is called Kenneth whom can speak good cantonese.
Yes, he did mentioned that usually ppl will fishing at the ship wreck. However, due to we are from outstation. So, we only managed to fish on day trip where we will go out to sea at 8am and back to shore at 5-6pm same day.
Can i have some of the information as below:
What are the bait to use?
What is the ideal weight/ No of sinker to use?
What to take in considerations?
What are the fishes expectation? is it a lot fishes around in end of month? we are going out on 29 aug

We are from Klang, Selangor. We paid RM650 for the 43ft boat fair. Is it standard or too expensive? The fare only inclusive of diesel and driver. The rest is on us including bait, lunch and such.
From your reply on the sinker, May i know why we have to use such a heavy size? is it bcoa water underneath is running too fast?
Penang trip cost depends on the distance you wanna go, so, it depends on which fishing hole you go to.
For RM650 for a day trip, I think Kenneth will bring you to the Taiwan Wreck, which is quite decent
for day fishing, mainly stingray and when the season is in, good for Ngoh Ar and Soong Hong too.
Kenneth’s boat is smaller compared to other charter boat, his boat previously belong to a well-know
Tai Kong by the name Alan. Rumor is that he is building a new boat.
