Fishing competition is open to all anglers aged 16 years old and above (limited to the first 100 anglers).

Fishing competition is held at Syopz, The Boardwalk, No.2 Jalan Taylor’s, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

The event will start at 8.00am and end at 2:00pm.

Registration Fee is RM30. All confirmed participants who have successfully pre-registered needs to make payment of entry fees at the registration desk latest on 30 July, 8:45am.

Target fish species are:
-
Haruan
-
Koi
-
Tilapia
-
Others (Any fish other than haruan, koi and tilapia)

Fish MUST BE at least 500 grams to qualify for points.

Points awarded are based on weight of fish multiplied by the factor allocated based on fish species below:
Fish species Factor

Calculation examples:
1.5kg Haruan : 1.5kg x 10 = 15 points
0.5kg Tilapia : 0.5kg x 6 = 3 points

Judges and marshals from PeMM (Persatuan Memancing Malaysia) shall run the competition.

All fishes caught must be lifted from the pond using a landing net and brought back to designated weighing station for weighing immediately and must be released back into the water alive (STRICTLY “Catch & Release” only).

Only soft plastic (SP) baits and properly de-barbed hooks are allowed to be used during the course of the competition. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and removal from the competition. Each participant will be provided with five (5) soft baits.

1st prize - participant with highest points awarded

2nd to 8th prize – participants with the next highest points awarded (in descending order)

Prizes are not exchangeable for cash.

Any fish caught before the starting whistle or after the end whistle is blown will not be accepted for the awarding of points in the competition.

Judges’ decisions are final and no further negotiations will be entertained.

Unruly behavior or actions that are deemed unsafe by the judges shall result in the removal of the participant(s) involved from the competition.

In the interest of safety, participants are strictly prohibited from entering the lake. Participants who enter the lake shall be disqualified from the competition.

The organizers reserves the rights to amend the rules and regulations at any time should the need arise.
