Returned to Monster Island in China for some awesome fishing. Yellowcheek to 130lbs on the rod was high on the agenda, but only fish from 17~20lbs were caught this time.
The Chinese Seabass here grow big too. An 18 pounder was caught by my friend on lure, so was a 17 pound Skygazer.

Chris Bamford from Ohio is a big man at 6’6", all fish look small next to him!! He caught this YC on a yellow two-lipped gurgler that goes ploop, ploop, ploop…

Yong, I hear the recently de-militarized zone of Heixiazi Dao (Bear Island)on the Chinese side of Amur River bordering Russia has runs of wild salmon. Maybe you’d like to do some exploration? [:D]
brilliant idea ,steelhead,in fact i will be going thereabouts with a friend for taimen and also salmon, as soon as i recover from my injuries.we should make our plans now, darrell is also coming down this thursday to discuss our new location which may be much, much cheaper than bloody expensive mongolia.
