Y? u going…?
U lucky bugger!

Stockholm is built on islands so there are quite a number of bridges within the city. In the summer, you will see people fishing for herring, brown trout, and salmon around the bridges.
Pertaining to sight-seeing - here’s a few suggestions;
Hope this helps.
Pantai Valley bro,
Thank you so much for the heads up…great information on that and i guess i wont have the time to wet some line when im there. But many thanks for the great sight-seeing list. Ive saved it in my phone for the must visit places ![]()
F2R2 + Minnow,

plastic or rubber???
or like what u guys discuss in tightlines today, Uncle Bob spectacles?
I only have 13 years of fishing experience, so must beri tunjuk ajar!
Ming, can easily fish from the bridges in town. No license required except freshwater and some bay areas.
Your Nitro can do the job. Waters can be fast flowing in the channels.
Tackle is expensive in Sweden. The bank exchange just after baggage collection used to accept RM exchange. Not sure if it does now but the rate was better than here.
Enjoy.
There are signs posted near bridges around Stockholm that describe the regulations and fish species found in local waters.
Helps if you understand Swedish.

Jeez, thanks so much guys ! This are heaps of important information.
FB : thanks matey, ill leave fishing a side… sight-seeing will take up most of my tight schedule there.
Neo: How could I forget to ask you about Sweden..bet youve fly there often. Noted on your points but i think now im more engrossed to visit the town and maybe some tackle shop just to see the great scandinavian fishing is all abt !..ehhe Yeah, guess ill change some US dollars n Krona..BTW hows things your end sir ?
PV: This is picture perfect ! loving what im seeing…thank you so much for all the great details… so did u manage to fish the swedish waters ? I was corresponding with Steven of Pure Fishing, abt visiting Abu Garcia AB in Svangsta…but its really too far down south. He was saying the Museum is a must see !..so i guess maybe next time…its abt 7 hours away from Stockholm !..hahah..

Enjoy your stay. Call me to collect some brochures and map.
Some lures used by local.

Fish on at one of the bridges. Fast waters on Riksplan.

Did some float fishing by the bridges in Stockholm.
Surf-fished and float-fished in Skillinge & Simrishamn vicinity (southern Sweden).
Lure & baitfsihing in the Hudiksvall area (northern Sweden).
Best way is to contact the local fishing club. Some have lakes and waters they control.
Like this one in the Hudiksvall area. Deposit the day fee in the container (honor system).
Convenience of an outhouse near the lake too.

Fished the bays around Hudiksvall in a boat. Pretty scenery too.

Hey thanks for the heads up Neo. I will be able to make do with surfing the net, found one mega tackle shop jus walking distance from Stockholm to Sodermalm. Not to mention the peak winter ! Ice fishing for Pikes ?..errr maybe one day…ahhaha..
Hey PV,
Thanks for the scenic pictures…gets my heart racing jus by looking at it. Lets hope I have some ample time to work the outdoors in near future
thank you so much for all these great info.. MFN never fails me with the great infos !

Hey guys thanks alot for the great heads-up…likewise i din do any fishing and just appreciate the scenic walkabout with ice filled everywhere !..its blistering cold and its very abnormal to be still below negative in Feb.
So fishing in that kinda cold..errr maybe next time..ahahah but i foresee it to be really interesting doing ice fishing there..thinking of the pikes and salmon !!..hmm… when i was there its -23 ! and u can hardly leave your bare fingers in the air not more than 5 seconds !..ehhe from the cherry red ears, rudolf nose, snort oozing and numb toes…ahaha..an experience to behold.
