Ah Thye has stocked Pond 3 with about 30 milkfish. If they do well in the pond, then he’ll put in more.
We have heard of a few milkfish being landed but never caught one until Furkson managed to hook one up today on his 4wt rod and Elk Hair Candy fly.[;)]
I’ll be uploading the movie to Vimeo and Youtube and shall post the link here soon.

What you guys call Pellet Flies in the Klang Valley is called Elk Hair Candy Flies in the north [:p]
We called it Pellet Fly because we are using many different type of materials to tie the fly imitating the actual pellet. The making of the Pellet flies can be made from either Elk hair, Deer Hair, Dubbing materials, Wool, foam, wine cock, etc. That’s how the name of the Pellet Fly comes about from Klang Valley here.

I know lar… I am just teasing
We used sponge the other day and coloured it using brown marker pen and it worked wonderfully. But one strike was enought to destroy it.
Deer belly hair or elk hair is always better. Antelope is a bit brittle and wont last as well as elk hair.
last time went there the water a little bit murky because of the alga and fish won’t take original pellet also…but ah thye is working on cleaning the water

Check this out, So many milkies and not manage to hook one!
Susah lah after hundreds of cast.
Possibly grasping for oxygen on the surface, even avoided the flyline and fly.[V]
Witnessed this scenario with Nick Ooi several times at Jarak. Cast everything at them.. charlies, clousers, milky dream, etc.,.. no take. Then someone threw some peanut and kuachi shell overboard and you could see them rising and sipping it in like trout F%$*&SH@X#!

Looks like we have to persuade Dron and Babyjojo to create new Kuaci and Peanut flies.

Tacklebloke
For this type of situation, cast out a flying Jala and you’ll sure to catch some [;)]
Thanks Dennis. We are waiting for you guys to come to Bedong to give it a try.
Anyway, do you notice that the milkfish had red lips ? Just reminds me of someone who caught a fish that had yellow cheeks. When are you going to take us there fishing ?
