Fly fishing shirts

Does anyone know where i can find shops that sell fly fishing shirts with Utility Tab ( example. exofficio…) in Malaysia?

hehe…my cousin likes exofficio cos he say can dry faster than any shirt he wear before…i anything also can lah..so which store in Malaysia got fly fishing shirt leh? Wide range one..dont want those got odd sizes or dont have this dont have that size one

Hi,

I think its very hard to find fly fishing accessories in Malaysia. Try ebay for these products. I think you have to specially mail these products from abroad.

Chuanjiek, thats true[xx(]…but good news is that my cousin just bought me some fly fishing shirt exofficio from singapore. He is workign in Singapore and told me that he found a exofficio concept store at Marina Sqaure shopping mall (beside the durian esplanade). Heard that one of the owners is a fly fisher also…hehe

I think the shirt in ‘bidtackle’ is pricey for its class, especially when its without SPF sun protection. Getting a shirt from abroad is still worth it. Especially with the USD weakening (Take advantage of this). Ebay is still a better deal. Try to observe deals in ebay or go this site:

Hmm whats the point of spending 100-200 bux on a shirt ? when a regular t-shirt ( RM 10 ) from the night market would do the job ?

I don’t know who my grandfather was; I am much more concerned to know what his grandson will be.

Made of synthetic materials, allowing it to dry very very quickly
Material feels soft and comfortable without being clingy
Material also protects against the ultra violet rays of the sun
Material is light & wrinkle free, great for travelling
Mesh venting areas are placed strategically for cooling

Plus they also look a darn lot better than your pasar malam t-shirt. [:D]

I agree with you, especially in fly fishing we are fishing in direct of the sunglight. The rod length does not allow us to have any sort of cover above us. A good quick dry, light shirt, and UV protect shirt will allow us to be more comfortable casting.

i don’t really know about these hitech clothing…but i agree that we need a comfortable clothing when we r casting…i also bought a shirt by pure fishing…for me it is comfortable enough…it dry quickly…and it is light…just rm60…

We can wear whatever we like, there is no right or wrong in our apparel of choice. Before I own one of these shirts I was wearing normal long sleeve. When sweating, you can feel the cold chills when the wind blow because the sweat sticks to our shirt. When its too hot, boy oh boy, are we cooking in there.

However, after getting one of these fishing shirt, its better. Those who own them knows.

Anyway, it all comes to the basic, just as long as we catch fish. Have fun!
