Chuanjiek,
This naina nasi kandar is next to the simpang into Bedong town from Sg Petani as you immediately turn left by the traffic lights. It starts at 4pm and bounds to have at least 10/15 people queing already. I rank this as no 1 in Kedah and top 5 in the country. A very good spread of duck, chicken, seafood, and beef curries, FANTASTIC!
Another nasi kandar you should try is Ahmad’s in Simpang Ampat SPS opposite the Petronas station. It opens for LUNCH ONLY and the queue starts at 11.30 or so.By 2pm it’s all gone. This is the simplest of nasi kandar where the no 1 ikan bawal curry served in Malaysia. Nobody can beat this guy!!!
Also look out for another one in Prai Industrial Estate by that small river where you would find everybody is going for the where the only specialities: bawal curry, bawal and siakap goreng.
Here I am talking tapau stuff to bring into Bedong Pond. If I come from KL, Ahmad’s will be my 1st choice, from my office in Butterworth it has to be the Prai one. But from my mum’s house in Kepala Batas I would go for Naina’s in Bedong. You bungkus it for at least for 30 minutes, take it to Bedong. HEAVEN! Even Ah Kow’s dogs will surround you while you eat, it’s that GOOD. Try it man!</font id=“maroon”>

Am stuck in KL and you’re talking about this Naina guy. Even Penang Nasi Kandar have difficulties in beating this guy’s nasi kandar. Although situated next to the smelly drain and busy traffic junction but the food is simply too good!!![:p]
