Apa2 poundage also x sesuai… [:D]
why use a 5wt rod for small stream?? You will not enjoy it… unless there are bigger fish in that little stream.. If possible, get any rod 3wt and below.. if you really want to try to use in small stream.. use little tippet. 4lb or 6 lb.

When I get back from Cuba and have tested my leader-fly line and fly line-backing system and it works there also without any problems I will re-publish an old story about my special backing-fly line and fly line leader systems.
I make my own leaders with hardly any knots. In my system there are just 2 knots from fly till end of backing!
It was reliable for me without any leader-backing-fly line breakage in 20 years. When I had a breakage I just lost the fly or broke my tippet.
it’s pretty useful and offers you various recipes to construct a leader in no time while taking into account fly line and hook size being used. have fun!

Hi Hans,
I was just reading an article by Dave Whitlock about his “knotless leader to braided-core fly line connection” using a needle and some zap-a-gap. It sounds interesting and looks better than the braided loop connection most of us are using here. Is your system similar to this?
Btw, the article is in the Spring edition of Flyfishing and Tying Journal… rgds.
thanks to all, last weekend, i go to ulu paip raiforest reserve, theres so many tengas comel2 over there, firstly i use tippet warna merah, haiya itu tengas x mau hentam, tapi bila guna tippet putih (mono) without speak many(cakap banyak), it hentam my pheasant bait, now im sure that the colours of tippet is a very important thing in fly fishing (ikan mudah curiga),is that true??aiyaa..so many things that i have to leran about this method..

My system is probably different. I will talk with Dron about it later!

We seldom see people use striking colours such as red, pink..etc for tippets.
Althou’ fish is said to be color blind but due the color of your tippet may turn out to be very clearly seen under UV rays. That is why I use flourocarbon or white mono for tippets..

Hi Tony, I have seen and tried that when I was using a mono tapered leader some time ago. On 2 occasions, my leader came off. It’s either the glue gave way or I pulled it too hard. It requires a tidy gluing job to make it really durable, I guess. Then, I turned to nail knot to secured the leader to my fly lines.. It was great, the leader was intact but I have got a knot there. But now, I am using a butt loop and furled leader… [:D] got no problems with knots anymore.. [:D][:D]
