Fly Line needed Please Help

[:)] my new fly reel haven’t found the fly line please fly tai ko help me i want low price line backing line already got , is fly line haven’t found yet ,5-6# float line , below RM100 line , branded line is not now , because im fly beginner ,if i training with branded fly line will spoil it , so please help below is my reel .

i am learning to fly

i have a kingfisher 9-foot line wt 7-8 fly-rod and a cheap fly-reel which i bought at behrang for rm25.00 today. can some expert out there provide some information as where i can get cheap fly-line, either floating or semi-floating type, or even a second hand line will do as i am learning to fly. you can either email me or post it here, thanks

Better get a Weight-Forward flyline for a start. Believe me, you can ‘fly’ better. [8D]

Just like you, I m a newbie myself and so far I am able to cast out 40’ to 50’ of my WF fly line.

Thanks to Ben for the “flying” lesson in the padang [8D] and advise from Nick and George… [:)] I am picking it up okay…
But so far I have yet to ‘tangkap’ any fish..
The toman in the lombong behind my hse does not take my flies!!! [:(]

I got my fly line from TackleBox… where else[;)]
You can’t find other tackle shop selling “fly equipments and accessories” if you are staying in PJ area [:)]

I picked the cheapest WF fly line available, if i can remember correctly, it’s abt $90..
Somehow.. started to regret now… the line is too short as I m able to cast the fly line all out.. [;)]

simonking, in ipoh ah, can u find any tackle shop that sell fly fishing equipment? If kenot find a TICA then just grab the equivalent one lah. Dun forget ah.. the more handsome your fly reel the more expensive one wor.. [:D]

yah , i know nick have but he too far from me, i like fishing but my job is not very free and my wife always kepek kepek me , now im sell my abu cargria reel and seahawk 6’7rod to get another one fly reel , Nick please help me get a nice tica fly reel ah soon said just 120++ only can u get one Nick ? and line capacity can reel in more abit will be great looo now mine backing is less fly line is full reel in that time must susun nicely only safe if not will hurt/scarch the fly line , see got anot loh let me know @ simonkingsamurai@hotmail.com , add me msn dont e-mail im very less check my own mail 10q

If u talkabout a normal one.. for 120 , OKlah…

wait until you buy the fly line for that reel… then you’ll know wat’s the damage like.. [:D]

We caught a few ‘kerapu tasik’ and some PB..
it was awesome.. well, at least for me , it IS!! [^]

I thought all the PB and Kerapu tasik was gone, until I saw Rosni fly fishing at the lake in Puchong Perdana..

hi,

today i go fishing with my friend Alex, also try fly some fish but , dont know why cant even catch any thing but i use frog get litter haruan(snake head), i try few fly also dont have fast slow and dry fly way also cant i already cast over 60-70++ away , above the water grass , free water place(without water grass), also cant get or no respon ,my friend making joke with me , said : fly cant use in malaysia water , saying me so stupid spean lots of money on fly , but i know fly is art , get or not get im enjoy the casting style , i already can cast 60-70++ ft away within 5 time cast , not every time because some time not focus in casting , but i wish to see you guys fly can post it so i also can learn .

Hi Guys

i was thinking of tring flyfishing, i didnt have much support back when i wanted to try it afew years back, just recently i realise its a big thing in malaysia…i did a lot of baitcasting with spinners and baitcaster…but realise when want to cast really light bait its impossible, tried to get some flyfishing stuff,

but non of my firends of the retail knew what it was…even tried using spinners to cast really light bait…but just wouldnt cast..the line or the bait didnt have enough weight, unlike flylines…the question is where do i start, i need ti buy then first…a

nd idea what u should use?i usually catch fishes up to 3-5kg max..freshwater mostly lakes, rivers..most of them predator and territorial fish..yes im a toman and haruan fan..hehee…

but i think any fish is just ok..as long as its fishing..use to look after my dads fish farm (which didnt workout..flood zone) fished everyday for year..sonetime even fish from my own kolam.catch and release of course..im not to fussy with brand…complete ready to fish below 1k should do be ok…

im use to hand lines, fishing line at the end of bamboo…towards the end of the fish farm i was into fishing with really light gear…fish haruan and keli with joran udang..hehe..its crazy..but fun..
