Flyfishing in Jenjarom/Shah Alam???????

Hey Guys,

Im am going to Malaysia in april/May 2008, for two weeks, to visit my parents in law.
I wanted to get some information about flyfishing over there before I go there. I already found some information about the flies they use and the fish they catch over there. But I can’t find specific information about the locations were to fish and the ways to fish.
My parents in law live in Jenjarom but they have no intrest in flyfishing themselves, thats why I opened a new subject in this forum.
Is there anybody who lives/fished near Jenjarom or Shah Alam who can tell me about the gear to use, the flies to fish and the places to go???
normaly I only flyfish in the Netherlands so its a big change for me to fish in Malaysia.

And I don’t know if it is to much to ask but I am realy looking for somebody how can show me some good fishing spots en maybe join me on a days fishing.

I hope to speak to somebody soon.

Thanx for the reply Kurauking,

The plan is to land on Kuala Lumpur on sunday the 22 of april.
And when I am there I am going to call you for sure!!
In the mean time can you tell me what the best size fishingrod is for flyfishing in Malaysia? I wanted to bring 2 rods for the trip. The Scott aftma 4 and 6 travelrod. I hope this covers all the flyfishing that can be done over there. Fresh and saltwater[?]
For the flies a don’t have a clue what to tie.
Can you give me some information about the flies to use so I can start tying some flies already?

Yeap, yr wt 4 & 6 rod is good for Port Klang unless i decide to bring you offshore…hehehehe…[:D]

I used lots of Clouser down here but i’ll let Tony Wee advice you on what to tie, he’s the expert…[:D]

You can also seek advice from Nick of Tacklebox at Subang, all this buggers are Malaysia Flyfishing pioneer…[:D]

Thanx for the information so far, it helped me a lot.
I also found contact with Nick en got some information from him too.
You both helped me a lot in my guest to go flyfishing in Malaysia.
