Today, a friend calls up and ask me to go fishing but i wasn’t in the mood.. After a few calls and SMS from him to ask me go fishing with him..
I finally decided to pull myself up & go.. (i was like.. why do i say Yes in this stupid weather
When we reach there, the wind was huge… waves was rough… wind was around 30 knots… 9 degrees around 12am and a bit of rain and huge wind coming in and out… I was freezing… My fingers was about to broke into 2 because of the cold and shivering because i didn’t get prepared more clothes for this weather…
I couldn’t even put the bait properly with bait mate as the wind was blowing my bait away with my hook on…
So I try to put a whole salted pilchard with a 1/0 hook hoping for a 2 kgs salmon.
I cast it nearby in the gutters since the wind is so strong.. I couldn’t really cast at all as the wind was blowing against my direction..
After i cast it out… Then my friend ask me to check out the other fisho along the pier and check it out if anyone catch anything, so i went over and saw a few ppl catching like more then 15 salmons each person
After a few mins…
my rod starts to buckle as my friend shouted..
JAMES!!! your rod!!!
As I was a bit far away.. He help me to strike and I ran to him.. he pass me back the rod…
it was a huge pull… I tot it was a gummy shark…
After a good few mins of fighting… i was very happy to see what it was even the season is over for this fish…
This is what i caught in the end…
65cm Snapper Weighting around 4.5 kgs on the scale.</font id=“size6”></font id=“red”>

We have a good feast on the snapper yesterday with 1 side of the fillet..
We fried the snapper fillet and the center bone and add sweet and sour sauce with garnish on top..
Side with roast pork and honey sauce chicken and carrot and potato soup and top up with steam veg and oyster sauce..
Here are some photos of our humble cooking and meal..
cheers
James

Ahh! Next my mother-in-law goes to Melb, will let her know that she can get some reading materials from there. Poor lady was bored out of her mind last trip…so bored that my sis-n-law took the opportunity to convert her into a ‘born-again’ church. It took some other old folks a week or so to do it. She (mum-in-law) tend to respond better to folks older than her eldest son (who is 55++)[:D]
