[:D][:D][:D] Lol !

Welcome to the club ! In many cases, we all go through the same sequence - the wife is next in line.

Don’t discard all your 2 pieces - the time will also come when you want to travel overseas for your hobby - and many taxis do not like to carry a 7 foot bazooka tube. Can be a big problem.[:)]

Agree…agree…a long bazooka can be a problem when it comes to transportation…however having said that, a 1pc rod normally outperform a 2pc or multi-rod…IMHO…it’s kind of a delicate decision whether to bring 1pc or multi-rods for a overseas trip…pending on the type of fish you are after[:p]and the organiser[;)]</font id=“purple”>

hmmm…i prefer 2 piece as its easy to transport…can fit in my small kelisa…having said that..i guess its about time for me to find out about 1 piece rod myself…

I think that a lot depends on the quality of the rod in question, where / what you fish. The technology involved at the joint has improved by leaps and bounds.

My everyday carry is a one piece 6 foot St. Croix Premier, and I quite often bring along a 2 piece 7 foot if it is a big pond. Have not found any difference that I can feel.

Have a try and see before splurging your hard earned money.[:)]

A 2 piece rod will always have a slightly different backbone as compared to a 1 piece rod. IMHO, baitcasters should always be 1 piece for response and faster hook setting.
Only trouble is transportation.[:(][;)]

yup transportation is one thing but anyway its not so much a trouble now guys… unless its a faraway place tat need flight or else all my one piece is my go to rods for now

in fact currently am custom making another gloomis with kok ming, since am extremely satisfied with the previous custom one piece, trying their IMX series tho…

as for the gl3, i have the 2 piece model but hardly use!!! cos am too used to baitcasting with one piece rod… i couldnt set hook on anything!!! guess i’m old liau, hand no feel edi heheh
