Wish to know more about the:
a) Green Arrow
b) Sabel Dance

thanks

heard green arrow are good quality rods

Novice angler here, any constructive advices greatly appreciated. Thank you

i have the Sabel Dance PE2 Jigging rod (spinning) courtesy of a close friend… simply stunning rod for the price(the old price). top notch components & built. very capable rod.

WAR: it’s not about who’s RIGHT, it’s about who’s LEFT

huwaaaa … FT sir, wish i have friends like yours [:D]

wot’s the old price?
any idea bout the new pricing?

how does the PE1 compare against the PE2?
any idea wot’s the difference between version 1 and version 2, please?

the old price rm3++, new price not sure coz i haven’t been shopping lately

not too sure bout the difference though. Ah Boy, Ikan Masin’s son (skipper from Pekan) has a PE1 sable dance…tried it, its much softer i guess when compared to the pe2. and its a pleasure to jig with jigs 30-60g. nice loading of the rod too…

Thanks very much, FT

for me, worth the price. the performance & quality is good, the design OK, materials good. light & well balanced. though made in china, quality is there.

speaking of made in china rods, i’ve got the ABU rocksweeper & shimano salty shot, both which are highly recommended as well.

Hi,

I owned a 12-25 Green Arrow under GM specifically bought for toman luring in belum. The rod feels light and well balance but the quality is kinda sub-par.

I used it recently in Belum in Dec 09 and after 1 1/2 days of fishing, the epoxy near the guide started to peel exposing the thread that bonds the guide to the blank.

Got it from BSR’s tackle shop for RM220. My opinion is that if you’re going to get china made rod, Valley Hill will be a better option if you’re looking at the same price point.

Thanks, scaryone [:)]

Appreciate the feedback on your Green Arrow, am sorry to hear about it. Did you get the exposed guide fixed?

FT was sharing about his Sabel Dancer which is for saltwater use. [:D]

fwiw, the earthshaker is around RM830 and the slow dancer is around RM740, current pricing - not sure if discounts are available.

self-poisoning in progress

wah nowadays GM rods so expensive ah!? someone must be making money out of it! with prices like that, i’ll start to look elsewhere!

scaryone,
i saw a green arrow before at Sabre Tackle abt a year ago. the build quality was good. it was priced abt rm300+/- back then. maybe the newer ones got lack QC? the epoxy coming off part sounds like a poor expoxy mix, and can be worsened by improperly kept rods.

Valley Hill…wah, very scarce ler! but thanks for the heads up! will try to lookout for them.

Hi, everyone..
Golden Mean/Evergreen/Majorcraft dealer contact:
Darren Chong 0122203607 (KL)
** View strictly by appointment only…
I think he can offer for the better price, ie: Earthshaker at RM6++

No worries, FT, it happens [:D]

kohEVO, thanks!
so, this is the Darren i’ve been reading about … thanks, mate [^]

so he’s the importer & distributor for MC rods in m’sia? if he sell lower than the tackle shops who take stock from him, then they will be a bit disappointed… like kena undercut? but then again i’m not a businessman, and don’t know how the tackle industry works…

i’m looking for some other MC rods like the JJ-mack for apollo jigging as well… looks like a potential candidate on my 2010 list!

Sorry, FT. May i know MC stand for? Made in China izit?
I’m new in jigging.
Happen to see this infor from Ken’s homepage (KY Jigging Space).
So far as i know he got sell GM/Majorcraff/Evergreen rods, lures, jigs & accesorries.
Better for you to give him a call to clarify that.

I.e.: Ima-gun jig (very hot among SG anglers) he can offer cheaper than SG about SGD2.50 per pc.
As i stay in JB, normally will go to Lure Haven & Team 7 to buy.
