Fly fishing in Thailand has never been more exciting than now.
There is a recent discovery of a fly fishing heaven in Northern part of Land of Thailand. The New Zealand fishing trouts of Thailand. 
This newly open wild fishing ground is exclusive run by one of my thai fly fishing friend in the northern part of Thailand. His name is Bobby, with his well connection with the local tribesmen and local admin natural park, he can get access to those untouch and well protected fishing streams and rivers in the northern part of Thailand.

Bobby live in native of Chiang Mai all his life. He has the privilege to learn the fly fishing from some of the renowned fly fishing anglers from New Zealand and America. With his vast local knowledge of the local hill trip , streams and rivers. He can get access to some of the best secret streams and fishing spots. He is now one of the very BEST fly fishing angler in Thailand.

Fly fishing is still new in most part of asia but is slowly gaining ground & interests from many young asia anglers. In most part of asia, we are not that fortunate as those western fly fishing anglers whom have many fly fishing spots for trouts and salmon fishes.
Chiang Mai which is located at Northern part of Thailand, with its many clear running streams and rivers are best suits for fly fishing.
But not all are open up for public fly fishing. A special permits and passes are needed to enter this protected national park. We don’t want to crowd the streams and rivers with too many anglers and stress out the fishes. Most importantly as a foreign anglers, you also don’t want to run into any trouble with any of the thai national park rangers.
This exclusive thai masheer fishing grounds are run by Bobby & his mum. At time, he do engage the local tribesmen to guide them through the upper stream to fish those bigger thai masheer. A good catch of 5-10 thai masheer fishes per trip of size 1.5-3kg is certainly ’ gurrantee’. Occasionally, you do land those monster 5-7kg thai mahseer fishes in the upper stream.
During pastime, Bobby made some of the world best flies for his foreign anglers in overseas.

Adults inhabit pools and runs over gravel and cobble in rivers flowing through undisturbed forests (Ref. 12693). Juveniles were most commonly collected in or near rapids (Ref. 27732). Found in small rivers and streams during the dry season. Move downstream at the onset of the rainy season, but generally avoid turbid waters. Mature individuals migrate upstream after two months and spawn in July near the mouths of small streams that the young subsequently ascend. Omnivorous, feeding on both animal and vegetable matter, at times consuming toxic fruits in flooded forests, making them temporarily inedible.

There are a great many fish which seek the title of the world’s toughest freshwater fish and the Mahseer is without doubt one of the finalists in contention for this trophy. Although it bears a visual resemblance to the Carp and it can be equally wary, that is where the similarity ends. Heralded as the aquatic Tiger of the Asian sub-continent, it is a formidable opponent. Golden armour-plated scales line powerful flanks and bucket-shaped fins provide it with immense power both to hold its position in the fastest of currents and equally to strip line from a reel with unstoppable, finger-burning speed. Its voracious appetite and sheer strength has given it an almost mythical status, allowing it to obtain weights in excess of 100lbs. Even in the colder, faster-flowing rivers of Northern India it can obtain sizes in excess of 50lbs.
