Happy New Year to all. As we know in a few hours time, 2011 will bade farewell and will usher in a new year. Global politics and weather wrecked havoc. The world economy was in a constant flux. And you went through your personal battles, like all of us. Some we were proud of, others we wished it never happened.
A new year is an opportunity to let the old out and the new in. We can choose to forget or we can choose to resolve. We find our own suitable choice and calling to forgive and to forge.
While you make your resolution and ponder back to your events of 2011 before the midnight call, we should be reminded that since we are capable of reading this message together on a computer or a tablet or a mobile phone, in the comfort of modernity, then we must be doing pretty fine.
I wish you a Happy New Year and may you close your year with your head held high and with renewed spirit for 2012.

So, what’s your plans for 2012?
I’m really looking forward to the next few months:
Got two big trips lined up. Going to Kerala, India, in March, for mountain trout. This guy I met through the Net came over to KL. I entertained him with some toman fishing. He’s returning the favour by getting me into this prohibited tea plantation stream. Gotta bring my ultralite and smallest fly rod.
Secondly, a buddy of mine is arranging a secret trip to Thailand for kelah/tengas. The only downside is, there’s 8 hours of trekking to be done[:0]. Really, getting too old for this, but I guess that’s the sacrifice for kelah fishing.
Resolving to complete three manuscripts for new books. Been a while since I put pen to paper. Also, toying this idea of setting up a proper website where I can share knowledge and also sell the ebooks , cheap (hmm, now everyone can read?)

JB bro… lucky you. I probably did more casting in 2011 than the average angler did but they were all on dry land… well 99% of the time at least and with a casting plug instead of lure.
In 2012 I hope to be doing the direct opposite of which is somewhat impossible… but as the saying goes… Impossible is nothing…
