Hai, anybody here have experience landing a Pacu using a hard lure..?
If yes, could you mind to share it here..?
What is the minimum size of lure to hook a pacu..
A 90mm minnow, is it too long or just nice? [:D]

the secret to luring pacu is very simple. lures must be reeled slowly and pauses inbetween(2-5 secs depending how deep the pond is). twitching is not so important.
if u notice… some “idiots” doing casting in laguna, tow foo, sukida and fish valley has been very very successful in catching pacu’s on lures/soft plastics.
lures i would recommend is IMA trip, bita, tiny minnows like mini fatrap, sinking tiny pencils etc etc… as long as its 3-5cm its ok. they’ll take anycolour, shape or pattern as long as u slowly reel the lures. floating lures are not so happening.
kill the friggin’ netters
oh just forget this thread..
i’d catch pacu many time with bakau super minnow code colour al110…
it is sinking type… but with lips..
crank super slow, let it suspend then strike.. and ilost 5 lures already due to 6lb line.. heavier l not even can cast the lure to the spot…
i like to used xrap 8cm glass ghost color when i go fishing for acu used twitch n jerk tecnic or slowly retrive when used this lure
guna baby cima pn berkesan gak… baling roti biar pacu kerumun roti then baling baby cima kat area roti tu… kompom kene rembat…

aku ngidam VAN STAAL reel weh…
Ade sape nak bg free kat aku ???
pacu not very fussy on lure, as long as it’s near to their nose sure hantam one… and the size tat fits its mouth, anything below 5cm are well receive by pacu since their mouth is small, however wit tat said quite a number of pacu was landed using 8cm sp shad as well
key is to cast to where they are as usually they tend not to chase after lure but if close enough, viola… it’ll hit without mercy! therefore something small and heavy(or with aerodynamic body/long cast internal mechanism). so tat can reach them easily, esp in huge lake or pond
some smell added can be another good thing… i’ve caught pacu on sp with added scent and it took it eventho the lure was in stationary mode(was texting sms tat time lol) not once but many time haha
Hope this help, cheers!
Novice angler here, any constructive advices greatly appreciated. Thank you

Some ppl use the worm SP about 5"-6" long with offset hooks for pacu. I tried, but too light to cast further. And they don’t recommend using weight.

i prefer u use mini fat rap and spoon in laguna or tow foo..but it all depent on the situation..kalau ikan nak makan, use big lure also they hantam..kalau dah tak mau hantam, better lepak makan dulu..hehehe
