Dear Doc,
Some advice is needed. When casting a fly with a WT 6 gears, I always have some problem to present the fly to the fish when the fly size is a little bit larger/heavier. My casting will be sluggish and out of control. But if I cast with a dry fly or without any fly, my line presentation is ok, the casting is powerful and in control. How do I overcome this problem? Is the presentation improve if the setting is changed, say Wt6 gears (rod and reel) with a wt 7 line, or lower poundage leader and tippet. Or I need to practice a lot. I don’t face with these problems with my wt 4 equipments (medium action rod). I even cast farther with my wt4 equipment compared to the wt 6. Please give some advice…
TQ.

dear NF.you should refer back the mel kreiger dvd + the salwater flyfishing dvd. i think these 2 dvd can teach how to cast far…,or have to wait uncle amin coming.thats why i suggest we have to find a good feild to pratice melayang the tali.i think abu.s backyard at piasau is good.but have to mintak promision la
Hi Noviceflyer
Casting without a fly is always easier than when you actually tie on a fly to cast, too large a fly on a 6wt will definitely give you problems.Uplining to 7wt line can help you cast a bigger fly easier but than your rod has to be able to match the upline. There is a line called the Bass Bug(SA)its designed with a short fat head, this is made for you to cast bigger than normal flies on the particular weight.Another will be to TIGHTEN up your loops,so thats practise.Watch Mel K.And I will let Amin know so he can help when he goes over there.Learning on the spot will be easier.

Hi Nick,
I was asked by Hammerhead, one of the forummers to contact you whether i can get some pellet flys and egg flys frm you..what i am actually tryg out in using the fly on a spinner set and i would like the fly to float for about two mins or more..If you do sell such flys, how much does it cost and the minimum I have to purchase..
Rgds Andy
dear doc, just wanna to ask you.how about bulit your own signature series fly rod- NICK or IGNATIUS..he2…boleh jual lah.just a suggestion
Hi Redtiliapa
Yes I do sell pellet and egg flies, but to cast on a spinning rod would be quite tricky.I have never done it on spin rod.Maybe with a small float would be easier.call me at Tacklebox or drop by and will help you.03-56370268.

Hi Noviceflyer
Making a bread fly you can use either white foam ,deer hair or Zonker strips.White zonker strips i think is the best because when wet it looks just like soaked pieces of bread and pacu,s fall for this everytime.I will try to send you guys some.
