well hello there guys. Actually i want to buy shimano calcutta or daiwa steez and for your information i’m still new with this baitcaster stuff so if you kindly help me to choose between those two poupular brands, i will appreciate it really..and tell tell me what rod should i use to suit the reel. Give me some tips too if you don’t mind. Thanx guys
Since U post on this surfcast section so I assume U want to buy a reel for surfcast. Shimano calcutta range only got two reel for surfcast. One is the 700S which is bigger and hold more line while the other is the smaller 400S. Which one U are looking at ? Both are good and smooth casting so it depend on which one U choose. Daiwa got a bigger range of surfcast reel. So far the Sealine 20H,30H,50H are all very porpular and the millionair 7H is commonly used for distance casting as it has no alarm. Both brand are all trusted so it all depend on how deep your pocket is and what type of fishing U are after. For big bait big fish I would recommend U to take a bigger reel as it hold more line and power. If U are just a beginner than better to take a smaller reel. It also depend on what rod U want to match with. Best is go to your tackle shop and look around. Choose a rod first than get a reel to match it for the type of fish U are after.
