Dear Marcelo,

Welcome to MFN! You’re our first Argentinian here and I wish you a warm and pleasant stay here. I am very sure our Malaysian and Singapore flyfishermen are very eager to share experiences with you.

Marcelo,

Welcome to the forum. Nice blog you have there. Patagonia is famous for its big, big brown trout. And it is in your backyard. [:D]

Cheers

Yes Marcelo, welcome.

Your backyard must be one of the world’s trout havens… would love to visit your country one day, though its so far away, like on the other side of the world. Before taking up fly and trout fishing, I always thought of Argentina only as a football and beef country.[:)]…now I know better, of course.

Hello Marcelo. Welcome to the fly fishing forum.

I’ve just finished watching a DVD by Mel Krieger…titled 40 years Fly Fishing in Patagonia. My jaw dropped over the BEAUTIFUL countryside and the fantastic fishing. You are most lucky.

That´s a really nice DVD, you can see almost all the beutifull rivers and lakes, Malleo, Chimehuin and it´s “BOCA”, Traful River and for the lovers of big sea brown trout or stellheads you have the Rio Gallegos and the Rio Grande, whom Mel Krieger gives a 10 out of ten (and the next river in the world is a five out of ten, thats how good it is).

This is a sea brown trout of the Rio Gallegos
