How To Cook Fish & Recipies.

Almost every fishos takes a fish home to show to their family or “the other half” that they have been fishing and not something else[;)].Then question pop’s up[:0]???How to cook or what style of cooking.I hope this thread will be a place for all of us to share some experience on fresh or saltwater fish cooking[:D]

I have a patin and 2 pacu’s that i caught yesterday and was wondering how or what style to cook them with?Never cooked a freshwater fish before and so is my family.Need suggestion from “SIFU or CHEF’s” for some recipy.[?]

plz tk note that fresh water fishes may contain muddy smell which some ppl totally can’t accept [:P]. when you clean the fish, especially patin, remember to handle it’s guts carefully or else (maybe only patin from fish farm??)… [XX(]

for patin, i like to mk it into curry style. and pacu i always prefer it to be made into “kum heong” style… yummy yummy [:P]

Fresh patin steam with ginger, garlic oil, fish sauce, soy sauce, sping onion taste good especially those from Pahang River. Already gave up those selling in the market, too much fat, meat so soft plus the breaking news reported some time ago … geli.

This is BuDu, a type of fish sauce that goes well with any fried fish…it’s a kelantan type of fish sauce{ cap ketereh }, slice up a few union and cilli, add lemon or lime juice…that’s it, the sauce is ready…it goes well with B.B.Q fish too…[:D]

kk bro,

Havent tried this sauce. The one I refer to is quite dilute light brown oily sauce. Many restaurants use it for steam fish. Sweet taste.

Very true neuwin bro, most ppl will just mix the budu with lemon or lime juice but for a regular user like me, i would stir fry{tumis} the budu & ingredients before adding the juice…more ‘KOW’ tis way…kekekekekeke…[:D]

ps: PC bro, go get a bottle{cap ketereh} and you’ll know what i am saying…‘budu’ is ‘fisherman friends’ kelantan style…kekekekekeke…[:D]

If you happen to come down to port klang GM bro, i will definetely bring you to a restaurant beside the shapadu highway call ‘Babyseafood’, they have kurau/senangin keangsom but i still prefer the ‘promfret’{tau tai chong} keangsom…[:D]

ps: i normally bring my own fish to those restaurant for them to cook…kekekekekeke…[:D]

heheh yeah.. bro kurauking same like my fishing geng and penang kaki..all the time they bring fish to my place and makan haha..but all bro don’t bring fish catch from pond…
No pro if i landed portklang will visit Babyseafood’..for sure u recoment will not dispointed..[:D]
