Persatuan Memancing Malaysia in collaboration with DBKL is organising an Invasive Alien Species Removal Exercise using rod and line.
This free event is open to all anglers and would be held on this Sunday, 24 MAY 2009. Details as below:
Date : 24 MAY (Sunday) 2009
venue : Taman Tasik Titiwangsa Lake 2
Time : 7.00am to 2.00pm
Conditions:
All anglers must be registered with the PeMM official there.
All alien fish species must be removed and NOT released back into the waters. If you are in doubt of it’s origin, ask the PeMM officials there. All other species to be returned unharmed to the waters.
Only the use of rod and reel with artificial hard body or soft plastic lures and flies are allowed. The use of animals organs and innards are strictly forbidden.
Please keep the area clean and remove all discarded fishing lines, lures boxes and packets and dump them in the respective dustbins around the park.
Have fun and help keep the invasive alien species population in control!

First and foremost, allow me to point out the mistake on the date. It’s supposed to be this Sunday May 24.
Correction has been done to the notice.
There are plenty of Peacock Bass there for one and also Jaguar Cichlids,Red Emperors, Flower horns, etc just to name a few. Targeting them should be the priority.
