Is it safe to go Bukit Merah (near Ipoh)?

Does anyone have experience fishing near the old Bukit Merah Rare Earth plant? I heard the fish there is very big.

by the same token, is it safe to fish at the river behind the AELB?
seems there are 1.5kg baung on average and 2-3kg after heavy rains

10 years after the factory closure. they are still carrying out a massive cleaning works..moving all the contaminated soil to bury in a hollowed out hill somewhere…this in the news. Contaminated radiated soil. Avoid at all cost.
