I’m going to take a few days rest after a long 4 straight days with 2 anglers from Indonesia. This bkk fishing trip is Freddy & Fandy first time fishing in the LOS (Land Of Smile). Both were excited and look forwards to this 4 DAYS of exotic fishing trip with me.
Allow me to share with you some of the photos highlights for the past 4 DAYS.
IT Monsters lake .- DAY 1</font id=“size5”>
Freddy is happy to be fishing at IT Monsters.
His dream is finally fullfilled.
Nice hookup by Freddy on the aligator gar with my Giron.
Next is Fandy turns.
Nice fat redtail tiger.
Other catches in the morning session not in any placing order…
During nightfalls, the bite rates getting intense !!!
8 of out 10 were all the redtails…
But the day will not end until Freddy & Fandy get their dream fish- The Arapaima fish.
The big strike come at 7.00pm that late evening. Fandy saw his line been pulled out. He quickly picked up his rod and give a hard strike. Then fish on !!! He thought it was another of those redtail but I told you not. I told him that this fish look like a arapaima and not redtail cuz of rod shaking up & down. After intense fights for like 10mins tug of war, we finally get a glimpse of this beautiful fish, it make a quick surface and then dive down again…
Freddy joined in the actions and took over the fights from Fandy as Fandy was about to give up fights . Maybe due to too many redtails battles earlier on… haha !!!

Without waiting for the chumming , I told Freddy & Fandy to try their best to fish those toman by their themselves. Chumming is more of …like cheating yourself.
If you want to fish the wild with me, you have to land the toman without chumming.
This place will be a great training ground for those beginner.
After showing them how to catch those toman on lure, they finally got the tips and managed to land the toman by themselves. End score 8 toman fishes on lure without any chumming help.
As for barra fishing there- This will be the averg size(1-3KG) of the barra there.
Bite rates wise: As usual, need to chum.
Not your usual Boon Ma farm kind of barra fishing though.
I’m not available to fish with them cuz I’ve another SG anglers fishing with me that day.
Nevertheless, I’ve instructed my best man for the job (Boon Song) to help them with their mekong catfish fishing.
Btw, my SG group(Daniel’s group) was just fishing next to their chalet.

When Freddy come Thailand, he has no Rapala deep diver, now his lure box is full of them. Thks to me … haha !!!
He & Fandy has spent almost 70K baht on lures and tackles itself at BSR 7 Sea shop.
He bought a Daiwa Ryoga 1016 and full graphite rod , getting ready for this next fishing adventure with me in the wild of course…
