First Tapah Landed on Lure By SG Angler At IT Monsters Lake</font id=“blue”>
David and John had been to IT Monsters lake with me before. For this return IT Monsters trip, they brought along their fishing kaki (Macus) to Thailand, hoping to poison him with the fishing Thailand fever.
We have planned 2 days of fishing trips.
DAY 1 - Will be heading for the famous IT Monsters lake for their fun at the redtails , arapaima and other predators fishes.
DAY 2- Will be heading for the monster barra fishing farm at Boon Ma.
As this is Macus very first time fishing trip to IT Monsters lake.I personally given the duty to guide him on the how to get those monsters fishes on lures.
Like I mentioned before, any fishes that are landed on lure regardless on the species and size, it a great expereinece for the angler himself. I want everyone to feel the moment your lure been taken by those fishes.
As unexpected , this IT Monsters trip happen to be the luckiest day for Macu.Not only he hooked up a redtails catfish on lure by himself, he also managed to land the fearous 'tapah fish of asia on ‘lure’. This legend fish has many stories of its eating small monkey handing on the tree in the past.
I’ve seen tapah landed under my watch twices on baits over at IT Monsters. But to land it on lure (rubber lure somemore), it rare & priceless. The last time someone ever sucessfully landed a tapah on ‘lure’ at IT Monsters lake was 2 yrs ago by an american angler.
Macus made history been the first SG angler to land this legency fish on lure over at IT Monsters lake. Well done bro!!!

Rare Tambaqui (IT Monsters) & 55KG Mekong Catfish (BSR)- BKK</font id=“blue”>
For the past 2 days, I’ve brought a SG angler to fish 2 days of round fishing trip around bkk. For the DAY 1, we went to BSR to target the big willy (40kg mekong & above). This is not the first time he fish at BSR. Just 6yrs ago, he came with the french guide(Jean-Francois) to fish. He managed to land a 40KG mekong that time. Now 6yrs later, he broke the past record and landed a 55KG mekong with me. I teased him that maybe it the ‘same fish’ that has since grown bigger.
With the joy still in the air, we continued our fishing journey at IT Monsters lake in DAY 2. I taught him the tactic of luring , he managed to land himself 2 X asia redtail catfish on his own.Well done !!
As for myself, 3 heavy weight redtails catfish + 2 aligators (1 fat fella)and several misses & take on my Giron lure.
Maybe yesterday nobody is fishing and it quiet, we have such a successful bite rate on lures.
He was so lucky to land the very rare tambaqui pacu, originated from amazon river. There are currently 30 such fishes among the thousands of predators fishes in IT Monsters. It even harder to catch than arapaima due to the small number. I think lucky star do come knocking twices on his door.

The tambaqui is the largest characin of South America. The tambaqui is found in the Amazon and Orinoco basins in its wild form. However, its pisciculture form largely distributed in South America.

60KG Arapaima Landed On Yamato Lure IT Monsters lake- BKKGUY</font id=“blue”>
The dream finally come true for Daniel. Many lurers around the world have always wanted to land the arapaima on lure by themselves. It not an easy task but neither hard.Hard work and patience do payoff when come to lurng your dream fish here in IT Monsters lake. Unlike baiting, lurers need to believe in himself , never die attitude and be consistant when come to cranking the lure.
Yesterday was a perfect day for Daniel at IT Monsters lake. He landed a 12KG Barra in wee morning 6.45am and then 10 min later, hooked up a 60KG Arapaima on his amazing Yamato lure which I’ve helped him to buy 6 pieces before we head for IT Monsters lake. In SG , I think Wenlong is selling it at his shop.
Swim actions just like a live tilapai and color is simply beautiful. 7 section joints swim baits !!!

Live fighting actions captured of Daniel using this Yamato lure to land this beauty giant fish. The yamato lure came off after the fish handler netted the fish just in time. Damn close to lose the fish.
Btw, he fought for almost 25mins.
