TITLE: Jungle survival training by ex-Rangers of Malaysian Army
Good day everyone,
I have a friend, a retired Major who used to serve with the Malaysian Rangers. On my request, he has agreed to organize a 6 day jungle survival training course for civilians at around the 3rd week of March 2012. This course would especially be ideal for those who fishes, camp, hunt or go off-roading in the jungles of Malaysia.
This is a once off project and is a non profit-making concern but a fee will have to be charged on each participant to cover the trainers’ costs for traveling, recces and other expenses incurred in the organizing of this course.
I have also requested them to organize this course in Selangor as most of my friends who have indicated interest in the course are based / working in Selangor. Hence, the Jungle Survivor Trainers will be traveling from Johore, Perak and Negeri Sembilan to Selangor for this.
It will be a solid 6 days’ jungle survival course with lectures, demonstrations and practical hand-on learning.
We are targeting for the 3rd week of March 2012 (This may be moved back a week if the General Elections should fall into these dates). Exact dates to be advised later once we have enough participants.
Course participants: Minimum of 15 participants. Maximum: 20 pax. Training venue will be in Selangor/KL area. Exact location to be advised after their recce.
Below are some info provided to us at this juncture:
• Equipment list will be provided on a later date once the
program is confirmed.
• A list of food items to bring will also be provided.
• We will be staying in the jungle for at least 5 nights.
• As for the medics, all the trainers are trained.
• Emergencies are catered for too. Hospital for any
emergencies will be about 30 mins away by road.
• Clothes list will also be made known.
• All other equipment will be advised as well.
• A minimum of 15 pax, maximum 20 pax.
• We have 5 trainers - 4 paxs per trainer only.
• All trainers will be present with the trainees at all times
when practical exercises are conducted.
• There will be demos and lectures before each practical 'hands
on’activity.
• The exercises will be reasonable and as actual as possible to
any real life situations.
• A detailed daily program will be produced once our program
is firm
