Thanks IDpearl…really hope to be joining one dasy, although I rarely catch any fish when I go fishing…hahahaha

Fishes are fishy

That’s why I started kayak fishing - to catch more fish! It worked!

Nice Kayak bro, waht model is that. I am using a cheap Mission Catch 390

Fishes are fishy

Mine is an Advanced Elements Expedition. Merv has a few - Tequila (2 piece modular), Ocean Kayak Torque and a Hobie i9.

I’ve had my yak for 3 years now and it is still going strong! I like the fact that it is a sit inside - makes me feel connected. Don’t know what I would change it for in the future, but will keep it going for as long as I can.

This was taken on the first outing…

Wow! Great stuff…I like it…real compact!

Hi Id, what an excitement seeing ur video, how u take that video while tackling that great monster? do u go out to sea fishing alone? what sort of safety advice to fish out at sea, looks scary when that fish is pulling u all the way. by the way is ur kayak the inflatable type? and lastly where is that place? Thanks.

Took this pic of my crazy friend ‘Loban’ last month during our outing. Hope u guys have contacted him already

very good shot FT
love how the water is frozen … emphasising the action
thumbs_up!

thanks acheong!

lucky only la bro, but thanks. was busy hooking up sails, re-rigging, fighting all at the same time. it was a crazy outing last 3 wks ago.

on another note, Loban managed 11 sails in 3 hours. i’m not exaggerating. it appears easier to fight sails on a kayak. then tend to stick in packs, so after releasing and re-rigging, you’re in sail territory again and it goes round & round all over again till you run out of bait. madness!

just watch out for leaping sharks ala Nat Geo… we saw 3.

despite all the fun, keep in mind that it is dangerous as well.

<< no fishing , no life >>

FT,

Amazing shot. This is NatGeo quality. Once a lifetime still’s capture that is. Congrats.

thanks cruiser, but no NatGeo lah…what’s natgeo was the fact that we saw sharks rocketing out of the sea, 3 times at least! now had i been able to get that shot, it would be nice. [:D]

Hey Fir3, how long have u been kayak fishing? and how safe is it, do u go in groups or alone?
Thanks

Err… Sorry to give the wrong impression, but it’s not me who kayak fish… It’s Loban. he was my boatmate during our sails trip. He brought along his kayak for the trip. My b@lls not hairy enough for kayak fishing after witnessing greyhounding sails and leaping sharks [:D]

Hahahahaha. I dont have the guts too esp with leaping sharks. For me nothing beats fishing on board a solid boat or just stick to freshwater fishing [:D][:D][:D]…guess my b@lls are not hairy enough as well [:D]
